Your first visit to Franklin County Rural Health Clinic establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During your first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information about your medical history and give you time to get to know your doctor.

What To Expect

This is a brief summary of what you will find during your visit at Franklin County Rural Health Clinic. Please, Contact our main office if you have any questions.

  1. When you arrive at the clinic, you will be welcomed at the reception desk where you will be asked for your insurance card and photo ID, which will be copied and returned to you, and to fill a registration form. In the case that you had downloaded the form and fill out ahead of time, please give forms to receptionist at that time. For urgent care services, no appointments are required and walk-ins are welcomed for most minor illnesses and injuries. Also, at that time you will be asked for your insurance co-payment or self- payment as necessary
  2. Once done at the desk, you will proceed to the waiting room area where you wait to be called by a Licensed practical nurse or medical assistant, who will check your vital signs and record information about your illness or injury
  3. Once done, you will have a minimal wait for a Physician, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, who will examine you, and then discuss your diagnosis and provide any prescriptions you may need or directions for follow up.
  4. On your way out, you will be checked out by the receptionist and schedule follow up if necessary.
